ANAPHYLAXIS AWARENESS


Anaphylaxis is the most severe form of the allergic diseases. The symptoms affect two to four body systems. The usual progress of symptoms is: itchy eyes, hives, cough, a feeling of anxiety, constricted feeling in the chest, dizziness, abdominal pain, wheezing, vomiting, weakness, loss of speech, confusion, drop in blood pressure, unconsciousness, coma and death. Its onset is so swift, that from time of exposure to death can be as short as 15 minutes.
   In order to keep our students safe, we do not allow any foods that contain nuts or may come in contact with nuts during production. Remember: Always check ingredients on packaged products. Wheatley is a registered member of Anaphylaxis Canada.
