ANAPHYLAXIS
AWARENESS
Anaphylaxis is the most
severe form of the allergic diseases. The
symptoms affect two to four body systems.
The usual progress of symptoms is: itchy eyes,
hives, cough, a feeling of anxiety, constricted
feeling in the chest, dizziness, abdominal
pain, wheezing, vomiting, weakness, loss of
speech, confusion, drop in blood pressure,
unconsciousness, coma and death. Its onset
is so swift, that from time of exposure to
death can be as short as 15 minutes.
In order to keep our students
safe, we do not allow any foods that contain
nuts or may come in contact with nuts during
production. Remember: Always check ingredients
on packaged products. Wheatley is a registered
member of Anaphylaxis
Canada.
