WELCOME TO WHEATLEY.

Wheatley is a vibrant, dynamic school for children toddler age to grade eight. We all work hard, we care
for one another, and we have fun with learning.
   I feel privileged to be part of a school that not only fosters student’s academic excellence, it also
supports them in developing personal integrity by encouraging a strong sense of self esteem and respect
for self and others. Students are prepared to meet the challenges of life with confidence, to take a responsible role in society, and to enjoy a lifelong enthusiasm for learning. Our students are instructed
and encouraged to be exemplary future citizens of the world.
   During the school year strong links are forged between parents and the school so that there is a sense
of community and security for the child. We have a committed faculty dedicated to achieving our mission
of stimulating and nurturing each student’s potential. Our programs provide a balanced curriculum with a focus on developing the whole child. The academic subjects are designed to provide our students with the opportunity to develop critical thinking skills and learn how to learn.
   The performing and visual arts programs stimulate creativity and build confidence and self-esteem, as students participate in art shows, school plays or the school band. Our physical education program stresses the importance of teamwork and of challenging oneself to do better, whether it be in the gym or on the playing field.
   Our small classes and low student/teacher ratio allow us to get to know every child and guide him or her on the journey of life. Every child has a voice, at Wheately, we listen.
