Wednesday, May 9Art Show

On May 9th, the school gym will be transformed into an Art Gallery! The art of our students from Toddler through to grade 8 will be on display. Parents are invited to enjoy the display from 3:45 until 4:30 p.m. Your child will be eager to share their beautiful master-pieces. Parents who pick up their children at 11:45 am are welcome to visit at that time.

May 14 to 17CTBS Testing

Lower Elementary students will participate in the Canadian Test of Basic Skills (CTBS) during the week of May 14th. This standardized test is a trusted and reliable evaluation process that is administered by the classroom teachers. Students should be at school well-rested and on time.

May 18 to 21Victoria Day Weekend

The Victoria Day Weekend is an extended weekend with a PD day on Friday and the holiday on Monday. See you back on the 22nd.

Saturday, May 26Rankin Run

Wheatley has participated in this event for the last 6 years, and we are looking for enthusiastic participants to take part in the 1 to 5 km walk/run. We will join together to raise funds while we all honour, remember, and continue to be inspired by those touched by cancer in Niagara.

The orange pre-registration forms must be into the office by May 2nd. The Rankin Cancer Run registration form (sponsorship form) must be signed and returned to the office by May 23rd. Extra forms are available in the office.

May 14 & 30IB & Poetry

Grade 8 students will present their IB personal projects on Monday, May 14th.

Grade 7 & 8 students will recite poetry at the annual Poetry Cafe on May 30th in the Lunchroom. Please let Mrs. Aylward know that you'll attend.
